ULRIK HOFF
God Guides My Hand

We have always felt that Hoff’s paintings balances between the unsentimental and the deepfelt. The almost clinical depiction of nature is precisely what has given us a pure and honest opportunity to put our own emotions into how we experience landscapes.

But why choose to exhibit Ulrik Hoff at Strayfield; a gallery known for radically confrontational and contemporary art? Well, the short answer is that Ulrik Hoff has remained a constant, while society has moved in new directions. In the old days the landscape represented freedom and openness.

Today, as we face overpopulation, pollution and the extortion of natural resources in the sacred name of growth – Ulrik Hoff’s works have never seemed more relevant and contemporary.
